Hellooo :)

I’m Harriet, I’m 19, and I live in the middle of England. Pretty much as far as you can get from the seaside in any direction :L.

My Tumblr pretty much consists of Harry Potter, Disney, any other films/music/television that I love, and pretty pictures. Mixed in with things I agree with, and things that I find funny. Basically, I post/re-post things that make me laugh, that I find moving, that I find beautiful, and things that are important to me and that I care about.

Life’s not too bad. I have a huge and loving family, but due to recent events we’re one member down. My older cousin was killed by a car after a night out with his work friends. Nothing will be the same without him, but we’re a close family and are helping each other through it. It doesn’t mean that we won’t miss him for the rest of our lives now, because we will. Things will never be the same, we need to re-create a new kind of normal.

I have amazing friends, a lot of them new because I’ve started university now. I love it. We’re like a family, and I love them all. 

Films are probably one of my biggest loves in life. I adore them. I’m into pretty much every genre… apart from Horror (I can’t deal, I’m such a wuss!). But I’m also really into music, all kinds. I’ve played the trumpet since I was around 8, so I’m into more classical stuff as well as more mainstream music :L. I just love how it can so easily capture a mood, in real life and in film. Music is what makes me emotional. I will cry at anything if the music is right. And of course, I love books! I don’t get time to read as much as I’d like to, which is probably why I watch more films than read books. But books are ALWAYS better than the films. I’ve never known a film to be better, and I don’t think I ever will. In my opinion, books transport you to the world of the book more so than film, because with books you have to imagine it yourself, rather than see someone else’s interpretation in front of you.

I’m quite a social person, I like parties and socialising. I prefer parties to going out on the town really, which is quite sad of me considering 19 year old uni students should want to be out on the piss every weekend :L. But to be honest, a night in with the besties eating a lot and gossiping, or watching a film with the Nottingham lot is a very good alternative.
